During our whole school collective worship, we talked about ‘Bullying’.
We focused on the theme for this year’s Anti Bullying Week, which was ‘Choose Respect’.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the book,’ It’s Okay to be Different’.
At St Columba we celebrate and embrace difference, we always ‘ CHOOSE RESPECT!’
Last Friday we supported Children in Need.
The children came into school in their own clothes, wearing all things Pudsey!
We had lots of cakes, books and stationary on sale too.
As soon as we count ALL of the money raised, we will let you know the total.
Thank you once again to our extremely generous families.
It really does not feel like we are beginning our fourth week back after half term; it will be Christmas before we know it.
We began this half term with some very disappointing news; our lovely Dove Cottage was vandalised! However, ‘every cloud as a silver lining’ and we have since received some extremely generous donations from a group of our families and local shops. This has meant that we can quickly return Dove cottage back to its former glory and our children can return to learning in such a peaceful, inspiring environment.
Thank you so much on behalf of our very grateful children,
